Good To Know

  • Experience includes your choice of Mighty Mo Tour or self-guided routes.
  • Mighty Mo Pass includes a 35-minute guided tour, audio tour, and self-guided tour. Chief Engineer’s and Captain's Tour add-ons available.
  • Wheelchair accessibility is limited to the main deck and one level above. Wheelchairs cannot access the ship's interior.
  • Restrooms are located on the pier - just as you enter the gates and on the ship.
  • 2nd Deck and the Above Decks (Bridge) tour paths will be open.
  • Passport to Pearl Harbor admission includes all 3 Pearl Harbor historic sites. Allow up to 5 hours for the complete Pearl Harbor experience.
  • Visitors are not permitted to bring bags of any size. You can store your bags at a nearby, secure storage facility for a fee.
  • The Memorial is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial stands as a powerful symbol of peace and military history at Pearl Harbor, O?ahu. Moored on Ford Island just 11 miles from Waikiki and under 3 miles from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, the USS Missouri offers a compelling day trip for travelers of all ages. Known as the site where World War II officially ended, this legendary battleship now serves as an immersive museum open daily, except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

General admission includes the option of a 35-minute guided tour led by trained interpreters or access to self-guided tour routes using digital maps and onboard signage. Visitors can explore the ship’s key locations—including the historic Surrender Deck, crew quarters, and command centers—at their own pace. The site is fully ADA accessible, with staff available throughout the ship to answer questions and assist. For an even deeper dive into the ship’s operations and restricted areas, upgrade tours such as the Captain’s Tour and Chief Engineer’s Tour are also available for purchase.

The Passport to Pearl Harbor ticket offers expanded access to historic sites including the Battleship Missouri Memorial, Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum as well as a self-guided multimedia tour at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial and a VR experience at the Pearl Harbor Virtual Reality Center. For safety and comfort, closed-toed shoes are strongly recommended. Visitors should be cautious in low-clearance passageways and doorways. Safety briefings are provided as part of every visit. Bottled water is available for purchase at various locations on site.

What are the operating hours for the Battleship Missouri Memorial?

What should I wear during the tour?

Sandals are permissible (athletic shoes are recommended), but swimsuits are not permitted. Profane T-shirts or caps are discourged.

Is the memorial tour wheelchair accessible?

Yes, there is a wheelchair-accessible ramp on the aft entry Brow to provide access to the battleship. A tour guide or Battleship Missouri Memorial staff member will be more than happy to assist visitors with accessibility needs. ADA-accessible restrooms are available at the aft Brow and on the pier where you entered the property.

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, you may bring a camera to the Battleship Missouri Memorial.

How long is the tour?

Self-guided tours allow you to set your own pace and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to five hours. The Battleship Missouri Memorial is a really big ship! General admission also includes a free Mighty Mo Tour that takes about 35 minutes on the main deck.

Can I bring my own food/beverages?

No. However, food and drinks are available for purchase from Slider's Grill at the Battleship USS Missouri Memorial. Their gift shop "Battleshop" offers a selection of snacks and cold drinks. Though eating onboard the ship is not allowed, you are encouraged to take a closable beverage to help you hydrate while on your tour. Bottled water, juices, and Coca Cola products are available for purchase in the store. They also feature a variety of locally made gourmet ice creams and sorbet.

What can I bring into the Battleship Missouri Memorial?

Wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, canes, umbrellas, jackets, sweaters, small wallets, medication, small cameras and camcorders, cell phones, and small sealable beverage containers are permitted; subject to inspection.

What am I not allowed to bring?

For security reasons, bags of any size are not permitted inside the Battleship Missouri Memorial. Visitors may store backpacks, purses, luggage, and shopping bags at the baggage storage area, located to the right as you enter the WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument. Fees apply. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
