Description

Flagstaff Extreme (FLG X) is an expansive aerial obstacle park set 15 to 80 feet above the forest floor. This self-guided adventure is perfect for leisure and adventure travelers who want to trade the desert heat for the crisp mountain air of Northern Arizona. Featuring five distinct circuits that get "higher and harder" as you go, this course challenges your balance, strength, and resolve in a stunning natural setting.

Adventure begins with a comprehensive 30-minute safety briefing and a demonstration course to master your gear. From there, you’ll progress through color-coded levels: start with the Green course to find your rhythm, move through Silver, Blue, and Red, and finally face the ultimate test of fitness on the Black course. Each circuit is packed with 10–17 unique obstacles, including wobbly bridges, hanging nets, swinging logs, and even an aerial skateboard, punctuated by exhilarating zip lines that soar through the pines.

Whether you are navigating the high-wire challenges of the Adult Course or cheering on younger explorers at the dedicated Kids Course, Flagstaff Extreme provides a safe, supportive, and physically rewarding outdoor experience. With no strict time limit other than sunset, you can move at your own pace, soaking in the panoramic forest views and the sense of accomplishment that comes from conquering one of the most challenging rope courses in the Western United States.

Frequently Asked Questions about Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course

What time should we arrive?

Arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour time.

Will we need to sign a waiver?

Yes, every participant must complete their own individual waiver. Please note that anyone under the age of 18 must have their waiver forms reviewed and signed by their parent or legal guardian.

My child is 11 (or 10) and they are very tall and can reach the 5’11 required for the Adult Course. Can they go on that course with the proper accompaniment?

No, the Adult Course requires participants to not only reach the height requirement, but also be more intellectually and physically mature. Although bigger 10 to 11-year-olds are physically able to reach, they tend to become frightened as the course goes up in height.

I have many different ages coming to the park, how do we all participate?

You will want to sign everyone up for the same time slot. This way, you will all go through the same briefing and demo and then you will have the rest of the day to go on the courses. If you do not have an extra adult who is not participating to watch the juniors, you can all take turns going through the courses. 12 to15-year-olds will go on the Adventure Course or Adventure Zip Lines and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. This adult must participate on the course. If the adult cannot go any further, the 12-15 year old does need to come down from the trees as well. If the 12-15 year old does not want to continue any further, they may come down and the adults can continue on the course. For grandparents that choose not to go up with their 12-15 year old grand-kids, Flagstaff Extreme can provide a guide for an additional fee (with advance notice).

Are there any height or weight restrictions?

In order for guests to be able to reach the safety lines and manage their way through the Adult Course, they must be able to reach the middle of their palms to a height of 5’11″ (180 cm) while keeping their feet flat on the ground. You must remain attached to a cable and observe all rules and safety instructions at all times. The general weight limit is 275lbs per person.

Are we trained in how to use the course and gear?

You will be trained in the use of Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course’s equipment and must demonstrate the ability to use the equipment before progressing beyond the training area. The patrollers are empowered to immediately, without warning, exclude a participant from the course, without a refund, for safety infractions.

Does Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course & Zip Lines operate in all weather?

Flagstaff Extreme operates in the rain, snow and sunshine. Only severe weather conditions such as lightning in close (6 miles) proximity, high winds (over 40 mph), fire conditions, extreme cold and/or possibly heavy rain/snow will temporarily close the courses. In the event that they close and guests have been waiting for over an hour, guests can receive a rain check or refund provided they have completed only two or less of the courses. Customers that have progressed through 2 courses and are on the 3rd course or further will be issued a rain check valid for 60 days from issue or the current season year which ever is sooner.

Will every course and element be available every day or start time?

Flagstaff Extreme, at times, closes certain portions of the FLG X course for maintenance or updating, or training. If any part of FLG X is not available, they will allow guests to repeat a section to make up for the section that may be unavailable.
