Explore 3 centuries of history, architecture, and culture narrated live in English by licensed Tour Hosts. Tour Hosts offer engaging commentary on board, and travelers Hop-Off at their leisure to discover the multiple attractions, restaurants, shops, and more along a 2-hour continuous loop.

Guided walking tours in the French Quarter and Garden District take travelers into the most popular neighborhoods and are included FREE with any 3-day ticket.

The Narrated City Tour is 1.5 hours if you do not Hop-Off at any of the stops. This includes a 15-minute rest stop at Basin St. Station Visitor Center (stop 5) for restrooms, refreshments, or additional hotel, restaurant, or attraction information.

How do the walking tours work?

A Self-Guided Cemetery tour of Lafayette Cemetery No.1 in the Garden District (Stop 12) is available to all City Sightseeing Ticket Holders. This information and maps are available on every bus, grab as you Hop-Off at Stop 12. Bring your camera and plan anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour, of exploring in this exquisite cemetery. 3 Day Ticket Holders – Guided Tours of the French Quarter and the Garden District are included free with your ticket. Each tour is about 45 minutes long and is about a mile in length. Tours are first come first serve, so they suggest arriving about 10 – 15 minutes before the tour begins to secure your spot. There are lots to see and do (and eat and drink) in the blocks around these stops, so not to worry if you must wait for the next tour to start.

Are attractions admissions included?

Attractions admissions along the route are not included in the price of the CSS tickets unless specified. Various attractions packages are available separately.

Am I guaranteed a seat if I have a ticket?

Seating is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. They do increase the capacity on peak days to accommodate increased ridership, although seating cannot be guaranteed for any specific departure.

Is there standing room on any of the buses?

All passengers must remain seated when any City Sightseeing vehicle is in motion – standing and walking is prohibited.

Do you offer hotel pickup?

They are unable to provide a hotel pick-up for the Hop-On Hop-Off tours, but many of the stops are in close proximity to major hotels in the French Quarter, Faubourg Treme, Central Business District, and Garden District.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

A portion of the CSS vehicles is handicapped accessible. They ask that guests with disabilities contact City Sightseeing New Orleans 24 hours in advance.

How long is the tour?

The Narrated City Tour is 2 hours if you do not Hop-Off at any of the stops. This includes a 15-minute Rest Stop at Basin St. Station Visitor Center (Stop 5) for restrooms, and refreshments.

Are pets allowed on the tour?

Sorry pets (other than service animals) are not allowed on any CSS vehicles.

Can I bring food/beverages?

Food is not allowed on the bus. Non-Alcoholic beverages are permitted as long as they are in a container with a lid. No glass of any kind is allowed on the bus.

Is there storage space for baggage or personal items on the buses?

Sightseeing buses do not have space for the storage of any personal items. Bring only items that can easily be stored under your seat.
