Kings Island is about 24 miles northeast of Cincinnati in Mason, Ohio at 6300 Kings Island Drive, Kings Island, OH 45034.
Kings Island Ohio opens in mid April. Operating dates and times vary throughout the season. Please check the operating calendar in the ticket section above for operating hours during your preferred dates.
Soak City Waterpark and is included with all Kings Island park tickets.
Children under the age of 3 do not require a ticket.
In the case of inclement weather, some attractions may close until it is safe to operate again. During this time, check out a live show, grab a meal, or look for a souvenir! Kings Island does not issue rain checks or refunds for inclement weather.
No outside food, drinks, or coolers are permitted inside Kings Island or Soak City Water Park. Guests with special dietary needs or needing to bringing baby food/formula into the park should stop at Guest Services located at the front gate upon arrival to have food checked and approved.
Yes. Simply have your hand stamped at the front gate. To leave and re-enter the parking lot, present your parking receipt to the attendant upon return.
Both parks have cashless payments throughout. If you don't have a card, you will find multiple cash-to-card kiosks located throughout the parks to allow you to convert your cash to a prepaid card with no fee. Leftover funds can be used anywhere VISA is accepted.
A select number of wheelchairs are available for rent on a first come, first served basis at the front gate. Please be advised that Kings Island's strollers, wheelchairs, and ECVs are not allowed to leave the park.
Only service animals are allowed inside the park. Kennel services are not available at Kings Island.
No. For the comfort and safety of all guests, smoking of any kind including vapor and e-cigarettes is prohibited. Designated smoking areas are available throughout the park. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in any store, theater, ride line or waiting area, ticket line, food line and any indoor or outdoor restaurant seating area.
Guests must be at least 21 years of age to purchase, possess or consume alcoholic beverages at Kings Island. Valid State issued identification or valid driver's license is required upon each person purchasing, possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted while in line for any ride. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be brought into Kings Island from any outside source or in any type of container.
Lockers are available for rent in different areas of the main park and in Soak City. Locker rentals are automated and can be paid using credit cards. Kings Island is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Your admission ticket to Kings Island includes all rides, live shows and attractions, as well as their 33-acre Soak City Water Park. Your ticket does not include paid attractions (including Sling Shot and Xtreme Flyer), nor events which require a separate admission.
Kings Island parking is $35 per vehicle for regular parking and $45 for preferred parking. A limited number of handicap parking spaces are available near the front gate on a first-come, first-served basis. Cash is not accepted.
All drones (Unmanned Aerial Systems) are prohibited and any unauthorized drone(s) observed over Kings Island will be reported to the FAA and local law enforcement, regardless of its point of origin or operation. Drones may pose a potential safety risk and may violate Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Kings Island does not offer a non-rider admission as the park is one-price admission.
Guests can enjoy regional favorites and name-brand choices like Skyline Chili, LaRosa's Pizza, Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, Cinnabon, Graeter's Ice Cream and Starbucks. Traditional amusement park favorites such as hamburgers, hotdogs, deli sandwiches, burritos, tacos, taco salads, BBQ chicken and ribs and smoked turkey legs. Kings Island is also famous for its blue ice cream!
The Parent Swap Program allows adults to enjoy the rides, even when their children are not tall enough to ride. One parent waits in line to ride a thrill ride or other height-restricted attraction. After riding, they give their Parent Swap pass to the ride operator and the other parent/guardian, who has been taking care of the little ones, can walk up the exit or alternate access lane to get right on the ride. To participate in Parent Swap, parents need to obtain a slip to authorize them for the program at Guest Services located at the front gate.
Yes. Guests arriving at the park will go through metal detection every public operating day. All bags, purses, backpacks, waist packs, etc. are examined prior to entering the park.
For safety reasons, on-ride photography of any kind on any ride other than the Eiffel Tower and the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad is not permitted. Due to the potential for water damage, White Water Canyon, Congo Falls and Race for Your Life Charlie Brown riders should leave their cameras and other valuable items with a non-rider or in a locker. Guests taking pictures or video while riding may be asked to leave the park with no refund given.
Guests with casts and braces will be restricted from riding rides where the cast or brace will not fit inside the ride unit or where it will present a hazard to the guest or others. Guests with full arm (elbow restricted) and full leg (knee restricted) casts or braces are restricted from most rides and water slides at Kings Island. Casts are not permitted on Banshee, Diamondback and Drop Tower.
The Boarding Pass Program helps guests with mobility impairments or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) access rides without waiting in the regular line. Upon arrival, eligible guests should visit Guest Services to request a Boarding Pass and Rider Access Form. These documents allow up to three companions to join the guest when boarding rides. At each ride, a staff member will assign a return time based on the current wait. Guests can then wait comfortably elsewhere until their boarding time. Only one boarding time is allowed at a time, and the guest named on the pass must be present to use it.
Assisted listening devices are available in the following Live Entertainment venues: Kings Island Theater, International Showplace, Festhaus, and the PEANUTS Playhouse. Ask any of the house ushers to assist you in obtaining a device.
Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. If you plan to visit Soak City Water Park, proper swimwear is required—thong-style suits and transparent clothing are not allowed. Swimwear with metal parts like zippers or rivets is not permitted on select water slides, including Paradise Plunge and Tropical Twister. Footwear isn’t allowed on most water attractions, but aqua socks are okay on Mondo Monsoon and Zoom Flume.
Soak City Waterpark has ample life vests for guest use. Should you wish to bring your own life jacket, it must be Coast Guard certified.
Yes. Kings Island offers a service to quickly reunite separated children and parents with cell phones. Please sign up for this service at Guest Services located at the front gate, the Help Center next to the Fast Lane booth, the Family Care Center across from Chick-fil-A, or Soak City Waterpark Guest Services.
Kings Island is owned and operated by Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, following its merger with Cedar Fair in 2024. The park continues to operate under its existing name and maintains the same high standards guests have come to expect.
