Experience all of Pearl Harbor on this comprehensive WWII Heroes Adventure Tour. Visit the Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and the Bowfin Submarine. Then cross the bridge to Ford Island to board the Battleship Missouri and walk the historic desks. Witness the battle scars in the hangars and award-winning exhibits at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. Lunch is included at the Aviation Museum’s Hangar Cafe.

Tour Highlights:
  • USS Arizona Memorial located directly above the USS Arizona battleship that was sunk during the attack on December 7, 1941. The ship is the final resting place of many of the 1,177 officers and crewmen who were lost, and a powerful reminder of those who gave their lives for their country.

  • USS Missouri Battleship where you’ll walk in the footprints of General Douglas MacArthur, Admiral Chester Nimitz, and officers of the Allied Powers in 1945 when the instruments of surrender were signed on the ship, signaling the end WWII. “Mighty Mo” fought in WWII, the Korean War and in Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf, supporting the cause of freedom.

  • USS Bowfin Submarine, also known as the “Pearl Harbor Avenger”, played an epic role in the battles of the Pacific. You’ll walk through the remarkable vessel docked in the harbor.

  • Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, located in two WWII hangars and retaining bullet holes from the December 7, 1941 attack, spans 105,000 square feet. An impressive array wartime aircraft is displayed including an authentic Japanese Zero, the type used in the attack.

  • Pearl Harbor Visitor Center where you’ll view actual film footage the attack, view historic displays, and gain firsthand insight into WWII in the Pacific and beyond. Pearl Harbor is an active military base, therefore a "no bag" policy exists on location, prohibiting purses, handbags, fanny packs, backpacks, camera bags, diaper bags, luggage and/or other items that offer concealment. Bags can be stored in a secure storage facility for a fee. The facility is located outside the front entrance near the Pearl Harbor Shuttle Stop.

What should I wear on tour?

Please wear comfortable weather-appropriate attire and closed-toe shoes. Keep in mind that the USS Arizona Memorial is the final resting place for hundreds of people and a space for remembrance and reflection, so visitors are advised to dress appropriately.

What can I bring, and what should I leave behind?

Passengers may not carry any concealing items at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, Arizona Memorial, and USS Missouri. Include purses, handbags, backpacks and more. See-through bags holding medical devices/ may be allowed onsite at the discretion of the National Park Service. You are not allowed to leave your bag in the tour vehicle; there's a storage facility near the visitor center entrance for a fee.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Most of the tour is wheelchair accessible, including the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, Aviation Museum, USS Arizona Memorial, and USS Missouri Memorial, except the USS Bowfin Submarine. Polynesian Adventure offers ADA-compliant vehicles with lifts with at least 7 days advance notice. Can I bring food inside?

The tour includes a lunch at the Aviation Museum’s Hangar Cafe. Food and drinks are allowed and also available at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. You can only bring bottled water to the Arizona Memorial.

Is hotel pick-up available?

Yes. Passengers can be picked up and dropped off at designated Waikiki hotels.

What happens during inclement weather?

On rare occasions, and due to external factors such as inclement weather and/or shortages of boat launch tickets, there is the possibility of not being able to visit the USS Arizona Memorial during your visit. You'll still be able to go to the Visitor's Center, USS Missouri, USS Bowfin, and Aviation Museum.
